1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of AI Metadata Remover (the "Service"), operated by WipeTag ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service does
The Service reads image files you choose (JPEG, PNG and WebP) and removes file-level metadata such as EXIF, XMP, C2PA / JUMBF content credentials, IPTC and PNG text chunks. All processing happens locally in your browser. Your files are not uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted through our servers.
The Service does not alter pixels, does not remove watermarks or pixel-level signals, and does not attempt to bypass any platform's image classifiers. See the Disclaimer for the full list of what it can and cannot do.
3. Your responsibilities
You may use the Service only on files that you created, own, or are otherwise authorised to modify. You agree not to use the Service to:
- remove or alter copyright management information from works you do not own or license;
- misrepresent the origin of content, including presenting AI-generated content as human-made where that would mislead others;
- avoid a disclosure that a platform's rules or applicable law require of you;
- infringe the rights of any third party or break any law.
You are solely responsible for the files you process and for how you use the output.
4. Third-party platforms
Using a cleaned file does not exempt you from the terms of the platforms you post to. Platforms may remove content, restrict accounts or apply labels regardless of a file's metadata. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Adobe, OpenAI, Google, Apple or any other company named on the site. Their names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
5. Pro licence
The core tool is free. Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The price and what Pro includes are shown before you pay. Pro unlocks features in your browser (currently: no batch limit, folder selection and ZIP download); photo processing stays on your device either way.
Pro is sold by Waffo, our merchant of record, which processes the payment, issues your receipt and handles tax and refunds under its Buyer Terms. After payment you receive a licence key. It is for your personal use on your own devices; do not share or resell it. If a payment is refunded or reversed, the licence stops working. We may add features to Pro over time; we will not remove the features listed at the time you bought it without offering a refund.
6. Intellectual property
Your files remain yours; we never receive them. The Service itself, including the site's design, text and code, belongs to us or our licensors. Example images on the site are used under their respective licences.
7. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that any platform will remove an existing label or refrain from applying one, that every type of metadata will be detected, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep a copy of your original files.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, reach, revenue or account access, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live still apply.
